The library has moved to sam.lu.se

On 15 January, the web pages of the Faculty of Social Sciences Library were launched on the Faculty's general website. At the same time the website sambib.lu.se was closed.

Library information can now be found at www.sam.lu.se/en/library. The exception is the information about the library's support for researchers and teachers, which has been moved to the faculty's internal website together with other information for these target groups: www.sam.lu.se/en/internal/research and www.sam.lu.se/en/internal/teaching-practitioners.

"From the library's point of view, we see many advantages in the change and it feels very good that the library's pages are now an integrated part of the faculty's pages", says Filip Astner, librarian at the Faculty of Social Sciences library and one of the library's representatives in the working group.

Both the library's and the faculty's web information is aimed at current staff, current students and the general public, so there are several advantages to coordinating the websites. The overall aims of the project were to make it easier for the target audience to find accurate information and to rationalise our web publishing resources.

"The working process has been characterised by responsiveness and a fruitful dialogue between library services and faculty communicators. We are very pleased with the result and the targeted content our users now encounter when they visit the library's pages," says Filip Astner.
